Zurich, Switzerland, June 10, 2016 – KNIME® today announced the launch of KNIME Cloud Analytics Platform, the first time that the popular open-source KNIME Analytics Platform has been available as a public cloud service.
Customers with demanding needs for end-to-end analytics can immediately use KNIME’s familiar visual software to perform complex analysis on a scalable, reliable, on-demand infrastructure without the need for software installation. This new capability allows immediate and effortless trial of the open source software platform for new users. Experienced power-users can perform cloud-based workflow execution, freeing them from the constraints of their laptops. KNIME chose the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to launch the new service.

Azure allows KNIME Analytics Platform to be run on a virtual machine using computer hardware that may be scaled on-demand to meet customer requirements. The result for customers is lower fixed costs and a more agile analytics capability.
