We were very happy to welcome over 150 attendees from around the world to our 7th KNIME User Group Meeting and Workshops in Zurich at the beginning of February, even topping our record number of visitors to the meeting last year.

The speakers at this year’s meeting showed us just how widely KNIME is being used. One of the highlights was the section of the agenda on KNIME User Case Studies on Wednesday afternoon, and especially the talk by Arthur von Eschen, Activision, entitled “KNIME Meets Call of Duty”: a vividly graphical presentation of just how KNIME is applied to analyze the huge amounts of data produced by this well-known game. Further talks showed us how KNIME is used in IT Capacity Analysis and Forecasting (Deutsche Telekom) and how the software tackles Real-time Customer Intelligence presented by Dean Abbott.

Later on in the afternoon, Phil Winters, Aaron Hart and Rosaria Silipo talked about The Internet of Things, with Rosaria calling in from the KNIME San Francisco office on Skype.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the speakers, our community contributors and our partners for their fascinating presentations and workshops and all the hard work they put into making this event such a success. We have made some presentations available below, for people who were not able to attend.
All KNIME developers (community & partners) are invited to join the developer meeting. We will give an outlook on future KNIME developements and discuss requests and suggestions. Download the slides from the meeting here.
