5th KNIME Users Group Meeting and Workshop

2012/01/30 - 2012/02/03

Following our very successful user meeting and workshops in 2011, we will be holding a similar event in 2012. The 5th KNIME Workshop and Users Meeting will take place between January 30 and February 3, 2012 at Technopark in Zurich, Switzerland. It will be an excellent opportunity for people to meet other KNIME users, learn how KNIME is used in different industries and how it is applied to solve various data analysis, data integration and reporting problems.

KNIME Open Source Days

2011/10/03 - 2011/10/06

During the first week of October the first KNIME Open Source Days (KOS Days) hosted by the university of Konstanz took place in Konstanz. Inspired by the continously growing number of projects in the Community Contributions we believed it was time to bring together the KNIME Open Source developers for a week of mutual programming, discussions, and presentations.

We invited all programmers that have already contributed open source extensions to KNIME or plan to do so in the near future (please note that this is not a developers training, participants should already have a basic knowledge about writing KNIME extension). The primary goal of the KOS Days was to develop existing projects further in open programming sessions. During the whole week some of the KNIME Core developers were be around and assisted with tricky problems and gave hints for improvements. They were also providing insights into the KNIME architecture and ongoing developments. Each community project shortly presented itself to the rest of the community. There was alsp plenty of time for discussions about needs and wishes from the community.

The event was sponsored by KNIME.org and the university.

KNIME Life Science Workshop in San Francisco

2011/07/27

Following last year's successful Life Science Day in Boston, the KNIME team and partners held another meeting on July 28, 2011 in San Francisco. The event was kindly hosted by Swissnex in their office building in San Francisco's financial district. This complimentary one-day event was attended by 60 people from both industry and academia. The agenda included sessions explaining and discussing KNIME's enterprise products, KNIME Server, TeamSpace and Cluster Execution. An interesting afternoon was spent listening to and discussing what our partners are developing with KNIME. The KNIME team would like to thank our partners for joining us at the meeting , and Swissnex for supporting this event and sponsoring the after-meeting apéro during which people had the chance to network with each other in a more informal atmosphere. A great time was had by all!

Learn how to manage your science with KNIME!
